Select the references you want to format from the References drop-down list box.From the Format tab, click the Bibliography link.The Bibliography feature allows you to output your references in various bibliographic output styles and in a specified file format to e-mail, save or print. A file using the Save option – a standard ‘File Download’ window will appear allowing you to open the file or save to disk.Click the Save To, E-mail, or Preview & Print buttons.Select the output style from the Bibliographic style drop-down list box. Using Format Paper to format a Rich Text Format (RTF) Document A printed list using the Preview & Print option – a ‘Preview & Print’ window will appear allowing you to print to a local or network printer.An e-mail using the Email option – an ‘e-mail’ window will appear allowing you to enter the e-mail addresses of those to receive the e-mail, a subject, and a message.If saving to disk, a standard "Save to" window will open so that you can browse to the folder location and name the file. To format your paper’s citations and bibliography without the EndNote Basic plug-in, use Format Paper. Format Paper works by scanning an RTF document for temporary citations. A new version of your paper is saved with formatted citations and a bibliography.īefore you begin, check that your Format Paper preferences are configured correctly. These preferences, which are available on the Format Paper page, must correlate with your RTF document to properly scan and format your paper. When citing a source in your paper, simply type the reference information as described below.
